Short Wisconsin Visit

It's finally starting to feel like summer! Strawberry picking came a little early in NH but they were quite delicious. We picked 10.6 pounds in one morning!

It's also been great hiking weather, too.

Our friends hosted a summer solstice party and the wildflowers at his house were vibrant.

And for Father's Day, we headed to the coast for fried seafood and to check out the annual Hampton Beach sand sculptures.

And finally, a brief trip to Wisconsin!

The weather and travel conditions cooperated very well for me (thank you universe) and I got to spend lots of quality time in old and new favorite places.

Perch of course

Mom and I went to visit the Green Bay Botanical Gardens

Friday night was the Ripon College Alumni Association 1851 Dinner! It was so, so fun to see so many familiar wonderful people and the young alumni award was the cherry on top.

My friends and I stayed in the dorms for a few nights and had a great time exploring Ripon.

Saturday morning humid, rainy 5k around town!

We went to the (relatively new) Vines and Rushes Winery just outside of town and had wine slushies and great wood-fired pizza for lunch. It was super rainy that afternoon so it was the perfect spot to hang out.

Afterwards we visited lots of cute shops in downtown Ripon and I met this cute little puppy, Belle, who helped herself to my glass of water.

The prettiest shops on Watson Street.

New matching sunglasses.

Our actual 10 year reunion party at Knuth Brewing

S'mores and dance parties under the tent

And finally, saying goodbye on Sunday morning.

Until next time, Davey and Wisconsin!

Life Lately + Lupine Festival!

Spring has sprung in NH! So many good flowers and everybody is heading outside.

I also threw myself a birthday party and these amazing pastries had to be documented.

YP of the Year award!

Deliciousness at Pickity Place

We took a day trip to Peterborough over Memorial Day Weekend! Such a beautiful (wealthy) small town and Matt had a field day borrowing ideas.

Memorial Day at the beach

Hiking in Boscawen

Northern Rail Trail - Webster Lake

This past weekend we traversed up to Sugar Hill, past the White Mountains. The town is known for their beautiful, abundant lupines in June and boy did they deliver.

We stopped by Polly's Pancakes but sadly they were closed for the day. The views made up for any disappointment.

We could have stopped at any field in town and the views would have been magnificent.

I loved that there were such a variety of colors, too.

Apparently Sugar Hill was home to the first ski school in the U.S. so there are lots of chalet-style homes up there. It was definitely giving Sound of Music vibes!

Perfection.

For dinner we headed up the road to Littleton to go to Schilling, a brewery and pizza pub. Their pizzas were awesome and we ended up at Chutters for some candy favorites, too.

Ending the adventure on another rail trail!

Thanks for coming on my flower tour of NH!
